ATHENS, Ohio - Ohio Volleyball closed the book on its last real competitive match action of the spring with a three-set contest against Northwestern this past weekend in Muncie, Indiana.
"We had a fantastic morning session and I really thought it was the best we have performed all spring," head coach Ryan Theis said. "We struggled with some inconsistencies that we've been experiencing these past few weeks in the afternoon but overall our strides over the five weeks has been impressive. I was pleased with the performance and execution"
Kelly Lamberti had 16 kills to pace the Bobcats and she also recorded three aces and one solo block. Lexie Hartnett hit .417 for the Green and White and also added a solo block. Chelsea Bilger and Mollie Geske each notched double-digit digs
"Kelly [Lamberti] had a nice match and Lexie had a big afternoon," Theis stated. "She has been working on staying fast and her afternoon performance was a great indication of the effort she's put forth these last couple weeks."
Ohio Volleyball holds its annual Alumni Match this Saturday at 5 p.m. Former Bobcat standouts like Ellen Herman, Stephanie Blackburn, Laura [Hageman] Cobb and Katie Post will all participate in the match.
