Louisville, Ky. - Four players reached double-digit kills propelling the Ohio volleyball team to a 3-0 (30-19, 30-27, 30-19) sweep of Wake Forest at the Courtyard by Marriott Airport Classic.

Stephanie Blackburn (Cincinnati, Ohio) paced the Bobcat attack with 18 kills and 18 digs, both match-highs, for her second double-double of the year. Melissa Griffin (Whitehall, Mich.) has now reached double-digit kills in all five matches this year after matching her career-high with 16 kills today. Julia Winkfield (Newark, Ohio) and Holly Schetzsle (Pataskala, Ohio) each added 11 kills.

Savanah Parra (Temecula, Calif.) set the Bobcat attack assisting on 56 of Ohio's 62 kills. Schetzsle set a career-best with three solo blocks and matched a career-high with four total blocks. Michaele Blackburn (Cincinnati, Ohio) added 15 digs.

The Bobcats hit .303 for the match while holding Wake Forest to a. 164 hitting percentage.

Ohio ran out of the gates scoring the first five points of the match behind Parra's serving and Griffin's attacking. Parra served the first five points while Griffin recorded kills on four of the five points. The Bobcats would stretch the lead to 12 points in taking the opening frame 30-19.

The second game stayed close throughout with Wake Forest holding the game's biggest lead at 20-16. Ohio crept back into the game eventually tying it at 22. The Demon Deacons again jumped in front going up 24-22 but the Bobcats turned the tables scoring eight of the game's last 11 points to take the second frame 30-27.

The Bobcats carried the momentum from game two into the third and deciding frame. Ohio never trailed in the game with the only tie coming at 1-1. The Bobcats scored the final three points of the third to take game three 30-19.

Ohio improves to 5-0 on the season while Wake Forest falls to 1-2.
