OXFORD, Ohio - Junior outside hitter Ellen Herman posted nine kills and senior opposite hitter Amanda Andersen chipped in with eight on Sunday, but the Ohio University volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (15-25, 17-25, 23-25) decision to Miami at Millett Hall.

Herman (Toledo, Ohio) also added seven digs on the afternoon, while also collecting a solo block in the second set. Andersen was a bright spot on the offensive end, as her eight kills came on a .538 hitting clip.

"We were tired and a little sick this weekend, and we weren't able to overcome it," Ohio head coach Ryan Theis said. "The biggest thing for us right now is getting healthy, and we'll look to bounce back this week."

Sophomore setter Michelle Jantsch (Mission Hills, Kan.), who handed 22 assists on the afternoon, led the way with a pair of block solos, while junior libero Sarah Petrulis (Westlake, Ohio) paced the team with eight digs.

Ohio will make a quick turnaround before returning to the court on Thursday, when they visit Kent State to open a split weekend. The Bobcats will host Eastern Michigan on Saturday night in the second half of the weekly slate, with both matches scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
