Senior Faith Robins earned the season MAC academic honor of her career in 2012.

ATHENS, Ohio - Three members of the Ohio University volleyball team were named to the Academic All-MAC Team for their superb efforts on the court and in the classroom during the 2012 season.
Sophomore outside hitters Chelsea Bilger (Fishers, Ind.) and Kelly Lamberti (Cary, Ill.), as well as senior outside hitter Faith Robins (Winston-Salem, N.C.) represented the Bobcats on the annual league academic roster. Robins, a 2012 second-team All-MAC selection, earned the second academic MAC honor of her career, as the senior also garnered honorable mention accolades last season.
In addition, junior defensive specialist Mollie Geske (Shakopee, Minn.), junior middle blocker Lexie Hartnett (Fairport, N.Y.), sophomore middle blocker Liis Kullerkann (Keila, Estonia), senior setter Leah Petrovich (Pittsburgh, Pa.) and sophomore middle blocker Serena Warner (Houston, Texas) received Academic All-MAC Honorable Mention recognition.
Ohio has had at least three players recognized on the MAC All-Academic Team for the past six seasons and had a record five named back in 2008.
To earn a spot on the Academic All-MAC Team, student-athletes must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and participate in at least 50 percent of their team's contests.

ACADEMIC ALL-MAC TEAM
Chelsea Bilger | Sophomore | 3.249 GPA | Anthropology
Chelsea Bilger excelled in her sophomore season, finishing second on the team in kills (340), kills per set (3.09) and total attacks (944). An All-MAC First Team selection, Bilger ranked fourth on the team in total blocks with 67. Chelsea proved to be a complete player, also recording 126 digs and 14 assists. She was named MAC Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 8 after notching 29 kills in matchups against Akron and Buffalo.
Kelly Lamberti | Sophomore | 3.747 GPA | Integrated Mathematics
Lamberti put together an elite season for Ohio volleyball this past fall. The Mid-American Conference Player of the Year and a first team All-MAC selection, Lamberti paced the `Cats with 435 kills and ranked second in the MAC in kills per set (3.95). Lamberti hit .206 for the year and contributed 29 service aces, 370 digs and 56 total blocks (including seven solo). She was twice named the MAC Offensive Player of the Week and was an important part of Ohio achieving the MAC regular season title and a 21-10 league mark.
Faith Robins | Senior | 3.632 GPA | Psychology
Faith Robins was an incredibly dependable player for the Bobcats in 2012, appearing in all 110 of the team's sets. The senior finished third on the team in kills (207) and second in blocks (84). Faith had the third highest hitting percentage on the team, connecting on her attacks at a rate of .264. Robins was named Second Team All-MAC at the end of the season and earned MAC Offensive Player of the Week honors on Oct. 29.
ACADEMIC ALL-MAC HONORABLE MENTION
Mollie Geske | Junior | 3.616 GPA | Marketing and International Business
Mollie Geske was a consistent contributor for the Bobcats in 2012. The junior recorded 226 digs (tied for third on the team) while adding 26 assists and six service aces to Ohio's offensive efforts. She posted double-digit digs in nine matches on the year. Geske was one of just five Bobcats to play all 110 sets of the season.
Lexie Hartnett| R-Junior | 3.844 | Communication Studies
Lexie Hartnett had a strong junior season for the Bobcats, competing in 85 of Ohio's 110 sets played in 2012. Hartnett recorded 150 kills, ranking fifth on the team. She was a huge part of Ohio's impressive blocking efforts throughout the season (most team blocks and blocks per set in the MAC) and finished the year with 77 total blocks. She also posted 150 kills (1.76 kills/set) on the year. Hartnett was named to the Bobcat Invitational All-Tournament Team after posting 24 kills and 11 total blocks for the `Cats during the three-match competition.
Liis Kullerkann | R-Sophomore | 3.761 | Marketing and International Business
Kullerkann served as one of the most reliable student-athletes for the Bobcats this season, appearing in 106 of the team's 110 sets played in 2012. A serving specialist, Kullerkann recorded 19 aces during the season. She also contributed five kills and 22 digs on the year.
Leah Petrovich | Senior | 3.616 | Journalism
Petrovich had an impressive 2012 season for Ohio volleyball while appearing in 59 sets for the Bobcats. The senior ranked second on the team in assists with 219, averaging 3.71 per set. She posted at least 20 assists in five matches, including a season-high 29 at Toledo on Oct. 12. She also added 12 kills, 39 digs and 26 total blocks to Ohio's efforts throughout the season.
Serena Warner| Sophomore | 3.683 | VISCOM - Multimedia Studies
A second team All-MAC honoree, Serena Warner was a key player In Ohio's success during the 2012 season. Just a sophomore, Warner played in 109 of the team's 110 sets throughout the year and finished fourth in kills with 183. Warner added 24 service aces, 14 assists and 56 digs, and ranked first on the `Cats with 141 total blocks (including 10 solo). Warner twice earned MAC Defensive Player of the Week honors in 2012.
