"Our team is incredibly excited about this training opportunity," head coach Ryan Theis said. "We'd like to thank our supporters whose contributions have allowed us to embark on the Europe trip. Our student-athletes will learn a lot from this once-in-a-lifetime experience, and the matches in Italy and Slovenia will help us improve in our off-season workouts and beyond."
The adventure begins in Rome, Italy, where the team will sightsee and hold their first practice on the evening of March 3. From there, the Bobcats will take a train to Milan, Italy, before seeing the sights in Florence.
The first match of the trip pits Ohio against Club Italia in Florence on March 4.
The Bobcats spend the day sightseeing in Milan on March 5, then play an exhibition match in Milan later that evening.
From there, the Bobcats depart for Maribor, Slovenia. On the way, the team will spend a day exploring Venice, Italy.
After sightseeing in Maribor on March 7, the Bobcats will play their third match that evening against Nova KBM Branik. Ohio remains in Maribor on March 8 to face off with the Slovenian Youth National Team.
