ATHENS, Ohio - There is still time to register for the Ohio University volleyball team's series of instructional summer camps this July.
Both day and overnight sessions will be offered this summer.
The overnight camp - offered to students who are in grades 5-12 during the 2012-13 school year - offers four sessions of drills and individual skills training, two sessions of competition, 18 hours of intensive instruction or play and a t-shirt for all campers.
The camp will be held July 12-14, 2013 and all participants must register by July 9. The camp is $315 for in-residence participants and $255 for commuter campers.
Day camp is scheduled for July 15-17, 2013. Each session will be from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., with a one hour break that includes lunch. It includes six on-court sessions for students who are in grades 5-8 during the 2012-13 school year. A t-shirt will be provided to each camper. The cost of the three-day camp is $120.
Both the overnight and day camps teach elite level skills that help students become greater passers, servers and more complete players both offensively and defensively. For additional camp information, contact assistant coach Ryan Walthall at (740) 597-1550 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Over the past nine years, the Ohio University volleyball program has set the standard for success in the Mid-American Conference.
