MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Ohio University rising senior outside hitter Ellen Herman was named to the all-tournament team at the USA Adult Open Volleyball Championships on Tuesday night after leading the U.S. Women's National A2 Red team to a second-place finish in the women's open division.

After dropping just three total sets en route to winning its first six matches of the tournament, USA Red dropped a four-set decision to Huskies VBC in the semifinals on Tuesday morning. The afternoon session saw USA Red sweep USA Blue, its counterpart in the 2009 U.S. Women's National A2 program, to earn a rematch against Huskies in Tuesday night's final.

Huskies was once again victorious over USA Red in the final, sweeping the A2 squad to earn the title. The contest was a rematch of the 2008 final, when Herman (Toledo, Ohio) tallied 11 kills to earn tournament MVP honors and propel USA Red to its first title in four years.

Herman was joined on the all-tournament team by fellow U.S. Women's National A2 program member Carli Lloyd of the University of California. Jill Collymore of Huskies VBC was named the tournament MVP, while teammates Tamari Miyashiro, Jenna Hagglund and Kindra Carlson garnered spots on the all-tournament team.
