ATHENS, Ohio – Ohio University volleyball head coach Ryan Theis has named Peter Netisingha as a volunteer coach for the 2013 season.

In his new role, Netisingha will assist in all areas of on-court training while helping to facilitate scouting, camps/clinics and team travel.

"We are excited to add Peter as a member of the Ohio staff,” head coach Ryan Theis said. “He comes from a big volleyball family and has years of quality experience. With the help of Peter’s work ethic and passion, I think we will evolve into one of the great young coaching staffs in our sport."

Netisingha brings four years of collegiate, club volleyball and camp coaching experience to the Bobcat staff. A December 2012 graduate of the University of Wisconsin, he served as the Badgers’ volunteer assistant coach from 2009-2011.

During his time in Madison, Netisingha worked closely with the team’s setters and defensive specialists and was utilized as a versatile practice player. He assisted with practice organization as well as video breakdown and analysis.

In addition to his work at the collegiate level, Netisingha has coached with the Sports Performance Volleyball Club in Aurora, Ill., for four years. He served as an assistant coach with the 18 Red and 17 Mizuno squads in 2009 before becoming head coach of the Club’s 15 White team. In each position, Netisingha trained and developed elite level high school student-athletes while facilitating game management and recruiting.

Netisingha also gained head coaching experience during a four-year stint with Capital Volleyball Academy in Stoughton, Wis., from 2009-12. He led a 14-year-old team for two seasons and worked with a 17 team for an additional season.

The past two summers, Netisingha has served as a summer camps coach at the University of Georgia (2012) and the University of Illinois (2011). He’s also worked a number of camps in five states throughout his time with Sports Performance Volleyball Club, and has acted as a Master Coach at Rick Butler’s Setting Academy, Hands Camp and Attack & Pass Camp.
