ATHENS, Ohio - The reigning Mid-American Conference Tournament champion Ohio University volleyball team will hold its annual Green & White Scrimmage of Saturday, Aug. 15, at 1 p.m. ET. The event, which will be held at the Convocation Center, is free to the public.

Prior to the scrimmage, head coach Ryan Theis and members of the Bobcat program will host a youth clinic at The Convo at 11 a .m. ET. Registration details for the clinic, which includes a pizza party at the conclusion of the session, will be announced at a later date.

The Ohio players will begin to warm up for the scrimmage at approximately 12:30 p.m. ET, with the match slated to get underway thirty minutes later.

Fans are encouraged to remain at The Convo following the match, when the team will be available to sign autographs on its official 2009 season poster.

The Bobcats will kick off the season on the weekend of Aug. 28-30 with the InnTowner Invitational in Madison, Wis., where they will face South Dakota, Duke and host Wisconsin. Ohio will open its home slate on the weekend of Sept. 11-13, when it welcomes Delaware, Eastern Kentucky, Indiana and Missouri State for the Hampton Inn Invitational.
