Ohiobobcats.com: What have you been up to since last season ended? Anything interesting or exciting? Michelle Jantsch: Really, I’ve just been focused on school and volleyball. It was exciting when my sister asked me to be maid of honor for her wedding this summer. Ohiobobcats.com: How do you feel the spring season went, both for the team and for you as an individual? MJ: It was a lot of fun to back out there and play as a team for the first time since the fall. I think we ended up playing well, and each of us emphasized parts of our games that we wanted to improve on for the fall. Ohiobobcats.com: If you had to pick one area of the game that you improved upon most during the spring season, what would it be? MJ: I really wanted to improve on my footwork, which is a huge part of setting. Ohiobobcats.com: Is there anything specific that you’ll look to work on this summer to help you out when the season starts in the fall? MJ: I just want to play with my teammates as much as possible to get a feel for our tempo and establish our connection. Ohiobobcats.com: When you look ahead to the 2009 season, what are you most excited about? MJ: The number one goal - to win another MAC championship! Ohiobobcats.com: What are some of the goals that you have as an individual for next fall? MJ: I want to keep improving in the setting game, and keep serving tough. Ohiobobcats.com: Any exciting plans for the summer before two-a-days start? MJ: My sister is getting married in August! Ohiobobcats.com: When you’re not on the volleyball court, what are you most likely doing? MJ: Pretty much a combination of three things - hanging out with friends, watching movies or making runs to Taco Bell. Ohiobobcats.com: Are you a fan of any other sports? What teams or players do you follow? MJ: I’m a college basketball fan, especially the Kansas Jayhawks. Ohiobobcats.com: Complete this sentence: ‘The best thing about being a Bobcat is ...’ MJ: ... having a family atmosphere far from home.
