Little Bobcats Information
ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio University volleyball team is gearing up for the 2012 season, which means that the start of the eighth-annual Little Bobcats program is just around the corner.
Little Bobcats is an outreach program designed to allow Ohio fans from grades 1-8 the chance to interact with their favorite Bobcat players, while also learning more about the sport and enhancing their volleyball skills.
The program features three volleyball clinics with Bobcat players and coaches, as well as an appearance at halftime of Ohio's match against Buffalo on Saturday, Oct. 6. The first 90-minute clinic is set for noon on Sunday, Aug. 18, prior to the Bobcats' annual Green & White Scrimmage at 2 p.m. Pizza will be provided for all LBC members.
The two remaining Little Bobcat clinics of 2012 will take place on Sept. 2 and Sept. 29. The Sept. 2 installment will follow Ohio's match with No. 24 Oregon at 11 a.m. The Sept. 29 clinic will start at 9 a.m.
In addition to the instruction-based benefits associated with Little Bobcats, members also receive two tickets to the match on the day of each clinic, a Little Bobcats t-shirt and a tour of the Ohio volleyball locker room.
There is no cost to join the Little Bobcats, and registration can be completed via email or traditional mail. Any questions regarding the program can be directed via email to Steve L'ecuyer at sl403709@ohio.edu.
