Volleyball Adds Geneva Yee To 2013 Roster

Aug. 12, 2013

ATHENS, Ohio – Ohio University volleyball head coach Ryan Theis has added defensive specialist Geneva Yee to the 2013 roster.

Yee, a freshman from Milwaukee, Wis., comes to Athens after a four-year high school career at Pius XI high school.

At Pius XI, Yee earned all-conference honors three times (2010-12) and was selected as an all-state libero in 2011 and 2012.

The 2012 Woodland Conference Player of the Year, Yee led Pius XI to three consecutive sectional semi-finals berths from 2010-12.

Volleyball is in Yee’s blood, as her sister, Korina, played the position at St. John’s University (2010-11).

Yee joins graduate transfer Alexis Pinson (Phoenix, Ariz./Arizona State) and freshmen Brooke Coleman (Plano, Texas), Katie Horton (Wayne, Mich.), Ali Lake (Liberty Township, Ohio) and Mallory Salis (Oak Lawn, Ill.) in Ohio’s 2013 recruiting class.

Yee and the Bobcats will open the 2013 season in Eugene, Ore. Aug. 30 (7:30 p.m.) against Bryant University.
