ATHENS, Ohio - Kelly Lamberti was named the MAC Volleyball East Division Co-Offensive Player of the Week by the league office today. The sophomore was named MVP of the Bobcat Invitational after leading the team in kills, points and aces.

This is the third weekly award for the sophomore and second in as many weeks. Lamberti started the Bobcat Invitational with 17 kills against Niagara, surpassing the 500-mark for her career. She then placed second on the team with nine kills against Belmont.

Lamberti capped her weekend with a personal-best four service aces to go with a team-high 14 kills and 13 digs against Montana State. In that match, she hit a season-best .400 while also racking up her highest point total of 2012 (19.5)

Ohio heads to the Tarheel State this weekend for three matches in North Carolina. The Bobcats will play at UNC Greensboro on Thursday night before matches at UNC and NC State on Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
