DIG PINK CAMPAIGN WEBSITE
ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio University volleyball program will host its annual "Dig Pink" match this Saturday against Bowling Green at 7 p.m.
The Bobcats aim to raise $1,500 this season in partnership with the Side-Out Foundation. The Side-Out Foundation aims to unite volleyball players and coaches and have them work toward the common goal of furthering breast cancer awareness, education and patient services.
In head coach Ryan Theis' six seasons in Athens, the volleyball program has raised more than $10,000 for the Side-Out Foundation.
During Saturday's match, the Ohio student organization, FEM, will be selling pink ribbons in the ticket office lobby to directly benefit the fundraising campaign. The Bobcats also will sport pink uniforms to commemorate the evening.
The first 500 fans at the match will receive a pink earband courtesy of Ohio University athletics, while the first 500 students can enjoy a free tailgate catered by D.P. Dough.
