GENEVA, Ohio - The top-seeded Ohio University volleyball team (26-4, 14-2) makes its ninth all-time appearance in the MAC Championship Final Sunday against No. 7 seed Eastern Michigan (18-15, 6-10). First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.

Bolstered by a balanced offensive attack, the 18th-ranked Ohio University volleyball team (15-3, 5-1 MAC) shut down Eastern Michigan (11-10, 1-5 MAC) in four sets (25-23, 25-7, 21-25, 25-14) Saturday evening at EMU's Convocation Center.

With Ohio's 3-0 wins over Kent State (Nov. 22) and Northern Illinois (3-0) to open the MAC Tournament, Ohio has now won 10-straight matches, including four-consecutive straight-set sweeps. Ohio has won 13 sets in a row.

The Green & White have compiled a 28-5 record in the MAC Tournament since the 2000 season. Ohio has won seven tournament titles (2003-10) over that span.Ohio is 7-1 all-time in MAC Final matchups.
2013 MAC CHAMPIONSHIP RECAP
The Bobcats won their MAC semifinal contest over NIU in straight sets (25-22, 25-22, 25-23) Saturday. Ohio limited the Huskies to .163 hitting and held a 45-36 edge in kills for the match. Bull and freshman outside hitter Katie Horton (Westland, Mich.) each posted 10 kills to lead the Ohio offense.
Ohio advanced from quarterfinal action after dispatching of No. 8 seed Kent State in straight sets (25-21, 25-23, 25-19) Friday in Geneva. First Team All-MAC selection Kelly Lamberti (Cary, Ill.) knocked down 13 kills and hit .417 in the match while fellow First Team All-MAC pick Alexis Pinson (Phoenix, Ariz.) added nine kills and a match-high seven total blocks.
ALL-TIME EASTERN MICHIGAN SERIES
Ohio won the only regular season meeting between the teams, 3-1 (25-23, 25-7, 21-25, 25-14), on Oct. 12 in Ypsilanti. Five Bobcats posted at least 11 points in the contest and the Ohio defense limited EMU to just .093 hitting in the contest. Sophomore Karin Bull (Bloomington, Minn.) notched 13 kills and nine total blocks against the Eagles.
Ohio holds a 32-16-1 edge in the all-time series, including a 6-0 mark under head coach Ryan Theis.
Ohio wraps up the 2013 regular season with a non-conference matchup at Atlantic 10 foe Virginia Commonwealth (24-7, 11-3) next Saturday (Nov. 30) at 5 p.m. in Richmond, Va.
