TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Ohio University women's cross country team took 41st of 49 teams Saturday in the Blue Race at the 2013 Indiana State Pre-National Invitational. The team competed in the 6-kilometer Blue Race which featured 51 teams, 13 of which are currently ranked in the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division I Poll.
Senior Juli Accurso (Casstown, Ohio) was the top Ohio finisher, placing 20th of 340 runners, behind 15 competitors who are on currently ranked teams in the USTFCCCA Division I Poll. She finished the 6k in a time of 20:36.09. This is the fourth time in five events Accurso has led the team.
Sophomore Krista Roehlig (Green, Ohio) was the next Ohio finisher as she finished 184th, clocking a time of 21:58.70.
The `Cats will return to action Nov. 2 as they travel to Bowling Green, Ohio to compete in the Mid-American Conference Championships. The race is set to begin at 11 a.m.
