TOLEDO, Ohio - Sophomore Juli Accurso raced to a sixth-place finish to lead the Ohio University women's cross country team to a 12th-place finish (376 points) at the 2011 NCAA Great Lakes Region Championships Saturday afternoon at the Ottawa Park Golf Course.

The race consisted of 227 runners and 33 teams.

Accurso's (Casstown, Ohio) sixth-place finish marked the fourth time this season in which she had placed in the top 10. She finished the 6-kilometer course in a time of 20:40.8. Accurso was the top finisher among all Mid-American Conference schools.

Fellow sophomores Emily Pifer (Canal Winchester, Ohio) and Allison Stillwell (Zanesville, Ohio) both finished in the top 100 as they placed 50th (21:49.5.) and 80th (22:15.3), respectively.

Michigan's Danielle Tauro won the individual crown as she posted a time of 20:27.9. The Wolverines also claimed the team title as they finished with a team total of 45 points.
