Accurso Earns MAC Runner of the Week Honors

ATHENS, Ohio - Ohio University women's cross country junior Juli Accurso was named Mid-American Conference Runner of the Week for the second time this season as she placed third at the 2012 Toledo Inter-Regional Bubble Buster Invitational this past Friday.

Accurso (Casstown, Ohio) led the Bobcats to a ninth-place finish against several nationally-ranked teams as she placed third, clocking a time of 13:20.8 to finish just 16 seconds behind Butler's Katie Clark, who won the meet in a time of 13:04.8.

Her third-place finish marked the second time this season in which she has placed in the top five in a race this season. Accurso opened the year by winning the Harry Groves Invitational at State College, Pa., en route to earning her first MAC Runner of the Week honor.

Ohio returns to action this weekend as it heads to the Notre Dame Invitational (April 28) and the All-Ohio Invitational (April 29).
