MAC Cross Country Championship Central

ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio University women's cross country travels to Bowling Green, Ohio to take part in the Mid-American Conference Championship Saturday afternoon at the Forrest Creason Golf Course. The six-kilometer race is set to begin at noon.

Senior Juli Accurso (Casstown, Ohio) will take aim for her third-consecutive MAC title individual this weekend - a feat no runner has ever accomplished in league history.

In 2012, Accurso became just the fifth individual in league history to win back-to-back individual league titles as she won the 6-kilometer race in a time of 20:48.4.

Accurso will look to add to her already strong senior season. She has lead her squad in four of five events and has posted a pair of top five finishes overall.

Teammates Morgan Reichert (Pataskala, Ohio) and Melissa Thompson (Westerville, Ohio) also will look to build on their strong 2013 performances from a year ago as both were selected to the all-conference team.

As a team, the Bobcats will look to build off last year's championship performance where they posted their strongest finish since 2008, finishing third with 92 points.

Since the championship began in 1980, Ohio holds the conference record with 10 titles.
