Bobcat Senior Heads to NCAA Nationals

ATHENS, Ohio - Juli Accurso will look to continue her accomplished senior season as she will race in the NCAA Nationals on Saturday. The women's competition will begin at 1:15 p.m. at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course at Indiana State University.

Accurso (Casstown, Ohio) will make her third-straight appearance at Nationals. At last year's championships, Accurso finished 38th and became the first runner in Mid-American Conference history to post back-to-back All-America honors.

She recently claimed the individual title for the second year in a row at the 2013 NCAA Great Lakes Regional in a school-record time of 20:00. She was named the 2013 Great Lakes Region Runner of the Year for her victory.

At this year's MAC Championships, Accurso became the first runner in MAC history to win the event three years in a row.

Saturday's event will feature 31 teams and 38 individuals. Accurso will be the lone representative for Ohio.
