ATHENS, Ohio â The Ohio womenâs basketball team has been selected to play on television three times in 2016-17 as part of the Mid-American Conference's largest television schedule in conference history, the league office announced on Wednesday (Oct. 19).
The extensive package features coverage over 80 MAC men's & women's basketball contests that will be telecasted nationally & regionally on linear platforms in 2016-17.
The MAC men's & women's basketball package includes games that will be aired on ESPN2, ESPNU, Fox Sports 1 (FS1), CBS Sports Network (CBSSN), American Sports Network (ASN), Buckeye Cable Sports Network (BCSN) & Time Warner Cable Sports Channel (TWCS).
The reigning MAC regular season champions will have one game on BCSN/TWCS and two games on the ASN. The game on BCSN/TWCS will be Wednesday, Jan. 4 against Buffalo at 7 p.m.
The Bobcatsâ two games on ASN will begin Jan. 18 when the Bobcats travel to Toledo for a 7 p.m. tip-off. The final game will be on Wednesday, Feb. 1 when Ohio takes on Central Michigan in Mount Pleasant, Mich. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
Games that will be picked up by BobcatTV Powered by ESPN3 will be announced at a later date.
The Bobcats return to action Saturday, Nov. 5 when they take on Thomas More in an exhibition match at 11:30 a.m. inside the Convocation Center. The Bobcats kick off the regular season on Sunday, Nov. 13 when they take on High Point in High Point, N.C. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
