MALE SCHOLAR ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Name: Quentin Poling
Sport: Football
Position: Linebacker
Year: Redshirt Junior
GPA: 3.521
Major: Exercise Physiology
Week's Achievements: Redshirt junior linebacker Quentin Poling (Gomer, Ohio) tied for the team lead with nine tackles – including two tackles for loss and a sack – to help guide the Ohio football team (8-4, 6-2 MAC) to a 9-3 victory over Mid-American Conference East Division rival Akron last Tuesday (Nov. 22) at Peden Stadium in Athens, Ohio. The win clinched to MAC East Division title and a berth in the 2016 MAC Championship Game.

FEMALE SCHOLAR ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Name: Kelly Karlis
Sport: Women's Basketball
Position: Forward
Year: Redshirt Junior
GPA: 3.148
Major: Marketing
Week's Achievements: Redshirt sophomore forward Kelly Karlis (Medinah, Ill.) posted a double-double with 14 points and a game-high 10 rebounds to help lead the Ohio women's basketball team (4-0) to a 79-79 triumph over Murray State last Saturday (Nov. 26) at the Convocation Center in Athens, Ohio. She also added two steals and a block in 30 minutes of work.
