CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Ohio wrestling team looks to kick off the 2018 NCAA Wrestling Championships at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio on Thursday (March 15). The first session is set to begin at 12 p.m. with session two beginning at 7 p.m.

Ohio junior Cameron Kelly (Bellbrook, Ohio) was the only Bobcat to be selected for this year's tournament, being placed in a pigtail match in the first session of the day against North Dakota State's Cam Sykora (22-10) in the 133-class. The winner of that match will go on to face Lehigh's No. 6 seeded Scott Parker (18-3) in the second round of the tournament.

Kelly has recorded a 25-6 record on the season, earning his second trip to the NCAA Championships in his time as a Bobcat. In the 2015-16 season, Kelly posted a 23-9 record and qualified for the Championships as the No. 13 seed in the 133-pound weight class.

SCOUTING SYKORA
Kelly's first test will come in a pigtail match against North Dakota State's Cam Sykora (22-10). Sykora currently leads the NCAA with 12 tech falls in a time of 47:59 on the season. The redshirt sophomore is from Wheaton, Minn. and has recorded 22 wins in the 2017-18 season.
