ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio Soccer team is set to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the program with a full weekend of alumni-related celebrations and events. The fun kicks off at 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 22 when the team plays Eastern Michigan before leading into Saturday's full slate of activities and concludes with the Bobcats' 1 p.m. matchup against Central Michigan on Sunday, Sept. 24.
The first event of the Alumni Celebration Weekend kicks off when Ohio competes against Eastern Michigan at 4 p.m.
A full slate is then expected on Saturday with events starting at 11a.m. First, alumni will have the opportunity to tour the athletic facilities both at Chessa Field and the Convocation Center. In addition to seeing all of the behind the scenes changes, past players will have the chance to meet present players in a special meet and greet in the current Ohio Bobcats locker room.
Following the tour, a 2 p.m. mid-day activity series is set at Chessa Field. Small-sided games and jump houses will be provided for alums and their families. At 7 p.m. there will be an alumni reception at Broney's Alumni Grill.
The 20th anniversary celebration weekend concludes on Sunday when the Bobcats compete against Central Michigan at 1 p.m. where alumni will be recognized at halftime.
