The Ohio swimming and diving team ended the 2018 Mid-American Conference Championships in seventh place with a total of 253 points scored. The 2017-18 MAC Champion, Akron, earned a total of 827.5 points over throughout the week.
The Bobcat swimming and diving team welcomed fellow Mid-American Conference swim teams to the Ohio University Aquatic Center as they host the 2018 Swimming and Diving MAC Championships (Feb 21-24). Action began tonight (Feb. 21) with the 200 medley relay and the 800 freestyle relay.
The Ohio swimming and diving team looks to earn its 12th Mid-American Conference title in program history this week as the team plans to host the 2018 MAC Championships. Competition begins on Wednesday, Feb. 21 and runs through Saturday, Feb. 24 inside Ohio University Aquatic Center.
Ohio swim and dive’s junior Corrin Van Lanen has been named Mid-American Conference Swimmer/Diver of the week for helping the Bobcats go 1-1 last weekend (Jan. 26-27) against Marshall and Bowling Green by winning seven events and placing second in one.
The Ohio swimming and diving team has earned the distinction of being named a Scholar All-American team by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America by earning a team cumulative grade point average of a 3.35 in the last fall semester, the CSCAA announced.
The Ohio swimming and diving team will compete in back-to-back meets this weekend against Marshall and Bowling Green. The meet against Marshall is scheduled for Friday (Jan. 26) at 5 p.m. and the meet against Bowling Green will be held Saturday beginning at 1:45 p.m.
The Ohio swimming and diving team wrapped up a weekend dual against reigning Mid-American Conference Champions, Akron, on Saturday (Jan. 20) where the Bobcats fell to the Zips 193-106. The Bobcats recorded four first-place finishes throughout the meet.

Ohio swimming and diving kick off the 2018 portion of the season on Saturday (Jan. 13) when they head to compete against Duquesne. The Bobcats will also face the Musketeers of Xavier with the action beginning at 2 p.m. at Towers Pool. In addition to this weekend’s double dual, Ohio’s divers will travel to Mid-American Conference foe, Buffalo, to compete in the Buffalo Diving Invite (Jan. 13-15).
The Bobcats concluded the four-day 2017 Winter National Championships on Saturday (Dec. 2). All four who traveled competed including Samantha Glass in the 200 back and the 200 fly, Emily Zimcosky and Corrin Van Lanen both in the 100 free and Emilia Lahtinen in the 200 breaststroke.

Four of the Ohio women’s swimming team head to the 2017 Winter National Championships to compete from Wednesday through Saturday (Nov. 29-Dec. 2) hosted by Ohio State. Samantha Glass, Emilia Lahtinen, Corrin Van Lanen, and Emily Zimcosky look to kick off competition at 6 p.m. in the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion. Heats are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. throughout the rest of the weekend.
The Ohio swimming and diving team earned their first defeat of the season in a 161-139 loss to Buffalo in the home opener on Saturday, Nov. 4 at the Ohio University Aquatic Center. Despite the loss, the Bobcats finished with eight victories.
The Ohio women’s swimming and diving team will host their first home dual meet on Saturday (Nov. 4) against Mid-American Conference foe, Buffalo. Action against the Bulls will kick off at 12 p.m. in the Ohio University Aquatic Center.
The Ohio swim and dive team has recorded their second win of the 2017-18 season after competing against Mid-American Conference opponent, Ball State, on Saturday (Oct.28). The Bobcats secured the 185-114 win over the Cardinals by gathering 11 wins in the dual.
Ohio swimming and dive plans to travel to Muncie, Ind. to take on Mid-American Conference foe, Ball State. The meet will take place in the Cardinals’ home pool, the Lewellen Aquatic Center, beginning at 12 p.m.
