Outdoor:
Opened the outdoor season at the UNCW Seahawk Invitational with a season-best time in the 100m hurdles where she posted a time of 18.06, placed sixth in the high jump reaching 1.50m, and placed 14th in the javelin throw reaching 30.29m… Recorded three top-three finishes and one top-10 finish at the Ohio Cherry Blossom Invitational where she placed third in javelin with a throw reaching 31.98m, third in the 400m hurdles clocking in at 1:17.71 (season-best time), placing second in the high jump reaching 1.60m (season-best) and placing ninth in the 100m with a time of 14.10 (season-best)… Recorded a season-best in the javelin at the 2017 WKU Hilltopper Relays with a throw reaching 36.08m to place sixth… Matched her season-best height in high jump reaching 1.60m at the Charlotte Invitational to place fourth… Finished the season at the MAC Championships competing in the javelin throw where she recorded a throw of 32.13m to place 17th.

Indoor: Made her freshman debut at the Marshall Opener in the high jump where she placed sixth with a jump of 1.56m and in the 60m hurdles where she placed 11th with a time of 11.04… Went on to compete at the Chipotle Marshall Invitational where she recorded a season-best time in the 4x400 with a time of 4:14.94, a season-best time in the 60m hurdles with a time of 10.14 and recorded a shot put throw of 8.94m… Recorded a personal-best in the long jump at the Ohio State College/University Tune-Up Invitational with a jump reaching 4.47m, also jumped a 1.53m in the high jump where she recorded a fourth-place finish… Finished the season at the MAC Championships with a pentathlon score of 2697, which included a season-best 800m time of 2:54.98 and a season-best in the shot put with a throw of 10.53m.

Prior to Ohio: Attended Newark High School and earned varsity letters in volleyball, basketball, and track and field… Set the Newark High School 300m hurdle record at 45.31 seconds in 2015 and was named the 2015 Dispatch Scholar Athlete.

Personal: Daughter of Tom and Karen Hayes… Has one brother, Takia who runs track at Youngstown State… Lists her favorite team as the USA Track and Field team and her favorite athlete as Alison Felix… Plans to major in criminology.
