ATHENS, Ohio – Two Ohio track & field student-athletes have earned entries into the 2018 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championship East Preliminary in Tampa, Florida May 24-26.
The event will be hosted at the USF Track & Field Stadium and qualifiers from the event will move on to the 2018 NCAA Track & Field Outdoor Championships.
Ohio senior Emma Ryan (Vincent, Ohio) is set to compete in the javelin as the No. 22 ranked student-athlete in the field. Ryan was sixth in the javelin at the MAC championships with a throw of 47.18 meters.
Bobcat senior Jordan Porter (South Point, Ohio) will compete in the shot put as the No. 38 ranked competitor. Porter was fifth at the MAC Championships with a throw of 15.02m.
