Ohio Track And Field Wraps Up Day Two Of Shamrock Invitational

Myrtle Beach, S.C. – Ohio track and field wraps up day two of the Shamrock Invitational.

FIELD EVENTS

In the discus throw the top three positions would be held by Bobcats. Senior Gaza Odunaiya (Athens, Ohio) placed first overall with a distance of 43.06m. Freshman Autumn Mohan (Chillicothe, Ohio) finished second with a throw of 42.42m and freshman Rachel Simpson (Port Clinton, Ohio) finished in third with a throw of 40.81.

Sophomore Abby Moore (Rootstown, Ohio) finished eighth in shot put with a throw of 12.29m 

RUNNING EVENTS
Junior Ashleigh Carr (Oakland, Neb.) would win the 400m hurdle with a time of 1:01.08.

In the 400m dash, senior Erin Stewart (Chardon, Ohio) finished seventh with a time of 57.94.

The 800m run would find junior Melissa Koziol (Burton, Ohio) in third with a time of 2:16.08. Freshman Stephanie Pierce (Fairborn, Ohio) would finish in fifth with a time of 2:19.88.

UP NEXT
The Bobcats will return to action Friday (March 22) and Saturday (March 23) to compete at the UC Alumni Invitational in Charleston, W.Va.
