Ohio Women’s Cross Country Finishes Third at Bluegrass Invitational

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Ohio women's cross country returns home after placing third in their season opener, the 2017 Kentucky Bluegrass Invitational, hosted by Kentucky. The Bobcats completed the race with a total of 69 points.

All five of Ohio's scorers finished in the top 20 runners led by senior Ellen Isaac (Mansfield, Ohio) who clocked a 17:54.7 time over the 5K course and took 10th place.

Following Isaac was Ohio freshman Hailey Bowes (Arlington Heights, Ill.) who finished in 11th place with a 17:58.1 time. Junior Madison Sury (Waterford, Ohio), sophomore Abby Miller (Mansfield, Ohio), and junior Emily Deering (Geneva, Ohio) placed 13th with an 18:08.8 time, 17th with an 18:27.5 time, and 18th with an 18:29.9 time, respectively.

The Bobcats travel to Blacksburg, Va. Friday, Sept. 15 to compete in the Virginia Tech Alumni Invite starting at 5 p.m.
