CEDARVILLE, Ohio – All five Bobcat scorers finished in the top 20 out of 81 Division I runners and led the team to a second-place finish and a total score of 56 points at the All-Ohio Championship 6K in Cedarville, Ohio on Friday (Sept. 29).
Senior Ellen Isaac (Mansfield, Ohio) clocked a final time of 21:45.3 to take fifth place in the overall women's collegiate division.
Next in for Ohio was junior Alyssa Atkinson (Granville, Ohio) in eighth place at 22:00.8 and freshman Hailey Bowes (Arlington Heights, Ill.) in ninth at 22:05.1. Juniors Madison Sury (Waterford, Ohio) and Emily Deering (Geneva, Ohio) rounded out the scoring five placing 15th and 19th with times of 22:14.6 and 22:29.0.
Ohio's women outpaced Mid-American Conference teams Toledo (110 points), Toledo (138 points), Kent State (184 points), and Miami (276 points) who finished third, fifth, eighth, and 10th, respectively.
Ohio's women return to action in Louisville, Ky. to compete at Pre-Nationals on Saturday (Oct. 14)
