Toledo, Ohio. --The Ohio women's cross country team returns home after competing in the MAC Championships. The women finished ninth.
The Bobcat women finished ninth as a team in the 6K with a final score of 208 points. The fastest time was clocked in by senior Alyssa Atkinson (Granville, Ohio) with a time of 21:32.2 placing 12th overall. This was Atkinson's highest cross country finish in her four years at Ohio, and only two seconds behind her all-time best of 21:30.8. Atkinson also achieved second team All-MAC honors, the first time since Ellen Isaac in 2015. The next Bobcat to cross the line was junior Abby Miller (Mansfield, Ohio) 22.22.7. The remaining Bobcats sophomore Hailey Bowes (Arlington Heights, Ill) 22:30.5, junior Melissa Koziol (Burton, Ohio) with a time of 22:40.2, junior Tiffany Hill (Dublin, Oho) 22:57.0, senior Emily Deering (Geneva, Ohio) 22:59.2 and freshman Madelyn Bartolone (Massillon, Ohio) 23:19.5.
