Taylor Thomas joined Ohio’s NCAA Eligibility & Student-Athlete Success staff as a Learning Specialist in June 2019. In this role, she serves as the learning specialist for all sports and acts as the liaison for tutoring, as well as accessibility services.
Prior to arriving in Athens, Thomas spent time as an Assistant Learning Specialist with the University of Maryland’s football team for two years. There, she implemented individualized academic plans for each of her students, helping them to enhance their academic and executive functioning skills to achieve academic success.
A native of Highland, MD, Taylor graduated from Towson University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Math & Science Middle School Education and received her teaching certification for grades 4-9. As an undergraduate, she served as a tutor, study hall monitor, and volunteer in Towson’s Athletic Academic Achievement Center. In 2019, she earned her Master of Science in Sport Leadership from Lasell College.
Thomas is a member of the National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A), Women Leaders of College Sports and the College Reading & Learning Association (CRLA).
