Erik Hildebrand is in his ninth year at Ohio University and fourth as the department's Associate Athletic Director for Compliance.

In his current capacity, Hildebrand oversees all athletic compliance  matters to ensure that all of OHIO University's 16 varsity sports as well as staff members are operating within the guidelines set forth by the NCAA, Mid-American Conference and University. Also, Hildebrand is the primary supervisor for the baseball program and has oversite of the equipment staffs of both Peden Stadium and the Convocation Center.  These responsibilities include management of budgeting, taxation, inventory and matainence of all Ohio equipment operations.

In addition, he serves on the department's Senior Staff as well as the University's Intercollegiate Athletics Committee. He is the department liason with other universiy offices such as Admissions, Bursar, Financail Aid, Housing & Residence Life.  Outside the department Hildebrand has been a member of the National Association for Athletic Compliance (NAAC) since 2010 and currently serves on the organization's advancement committee. In 2018 Hildebrand was selected by NAAC to serve as a mentor for the organization's ACE Mentoring Program.  In this role he is tasked with working with young compliance administrators to aid them in professional growth.

Hildebrand arrived in Athens in the Fall of 2011 as the department's Director of Compliance.  In this role his responsibilities included implementing all day to day operations of the athletic compliance office.  This included oversight of recruiting, countable athletic activity, roster management, rules education, NLIs, promotional activities, camps and clinics.

Prior to OHIO University, Hildebrand spent four years as the Compliance Officer at Gonzaga University, where he also attended graduate school.  Before transitioning into college athletics he began his career with the Cleveland Indians, of Major League Baseball during their 2006 campaign.

Hildebrand, a native of Mt. Gilead, Ohio, graduated from Bowling Green State University with a bachelor's degree in Sport Management in 2005 and earned a master's degree in Athletic Administration from Gonzaga University in 2008.

He currently resides in Athens.
