    The Ohio volleyball team (18-12, 9-7 MAC) advanced to the quarterfinals of the Mid-American Conference Volleyball Championship on Thursday evening after taking down Kent State (14-14, 7-9 MAC), 3-2 (25-14, 19-25, 25-23, 22-25, 15-12) in the first round of the MAC Tournament at the Stroh Center.

  • Ohio Volleyball's Jimerson Named MAC Player of the Year; Giacomazzi MAC Setter of the Year

    The Ohio volleyball team took home Mid-American Conference Player of the Year, MAC Co-Defensive Player of the Year and MAC Setter of the Year while placing three on the All-MAC First Team, the league announced on Wednesday (Nov. 20). Junior middle blocker Tia Jimerson is the league’s MAC Player and Co-Defensive Player of the Year while junior setter Vera Giacomazzi (San Vendemiano, Italy) was the MAC Setter of the Year. Jimerson and Giacomazzi are joined by junior opposite Maggie Nedoma (Brook Park, Ohio) on the All-MAC First Team.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.

    Ohio Athletics is back in action this week as the football team heads to Bowling Green on Tuesday (Nov. 19) for a matchup with the Falcons at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPNU. The men's basketball team heads south to Conway, S.C. for the 2019 Myrtle Beach Invitational, and the volleyball team is set for the 2019 Mid-American Conference Championship hosted by Bowling Green Nov. 21-24. The women's basketball team returns to Athens after their big win over Ohio State on Saturday (Nov. 23) to take on Incarnate Word at 1 p.m. ET inside the Convocation Center, while the wrestling team and swimming & diving team are also back in action this week. 
  • Ohio Softball Announces 2020 Schedule

    The Ohio Softball team has released its 2020 schedule, second-year head coach Kenzie Roark announced today (Nov. 18). The Bobcats will face off against eight teams that saw action in the 2019 NCAA Tournament including; Washington, Southern Illinois, Lipscomb, South Florida, Monmouth, Southeast Missouri, USC Upstate, and Toledo.
  • Ohio Volleyball's Jimerson and Giacomazzi Earn MAC Weekly Awards

    unior middle blocker Tia Jimerson (Sugar Hill, Ga.) and junior setter Vera Giacomazzi (San Vendemiano, Italy) took home weekly Mid-American Conference awards for their performance last weekend, the league announced Monday (Nov. 18). Jimerson was named MAC East Defensive Player of the Week while Giacomazzi was named MAC East Setter of the Week.

Ohio will face No. 8 Kent State in the first round on Thursday, November 21 at 4:30 p.m. at the Stroh Center on the campus of Bowling Green State University.

  • Ohio Wrestling Earns Split at Boro Duals

    The Ohio wrestling team (1-2, 0-1 MAC) came away with a split at the Boro Duals this afternoon at McComb Fieldhouse, bouncing back from a 25-7 setback to Mid-American Conference foe Edinboro (5-1, 2-0 MAC) by rolling to a 46-0 shutout of Long Island (1-8).

    The Ohio men’s basketball team (3-1) was unable to overcome a hot shooting Villanova (2-1) team. Falling to the 10th-ranked Wildcats, 78-54, Saturday afternoon inside the Wells Fargo Center.

    The Ohio wrestling team (0-1) is headed to the state of Pennsylvania to take part in the Boro Duals on Saturday (Nov. 16) at McComb Fieldhouse in Edinboro, Pa. The Bobcats will take on host Edinboro (3-1, 1-0 MAC) at 10 a.m. ET, then match up against Long Island (1-5) 10 minutes after the conclusion of the day's matches. The action will be streamed live on FloWrestling.
  • Ohio Men’s Basketball Set for Matchup with No.10 Villanova

    The Ohio men's basketball team (3-0) looks to continue its hot start when they head to Philadelphia, Pa. on Saturday, Nov. 16 to take on No. 10 Villanova (1-1). Tip-off is set for 12 p.m. inside the Wells Fargo Center.  Saturday's contest will be aired on FS2 with Scott Graham and Vin Parise on the call. Saturday's game can also be heard on the Ohio Sports Network from Learfield IMG College. Russ Eisenstein returns for his 12th season as the "Voice of the Bobcats," along with Ohio Alum Rob Cornelius.  WXTQ (Power 105) in Athens returns as the 11-station network’s flagship.   • MAC Announces 2019-20 Wrestling November Coaches Rankings

    The Mid-American Conference wrestling coaches announced their November weight class individual rankings and team rankings in conjunction with the league office today. Ohio moved up one spot to No. 9 as a team with nine points while while four Bobcats are ranked in their respective weight classes.

  • Ohio Women's Basketball Adds Madi Mace

    The Ohio women’s basketball team added guard Madi Mace during the early signing period, head coach Bob Boldon announced today (Nov. 14). Mace will graduate from Parkersburg High School in December and will join the Bobcats in January.
