@Ohio_Baseball Announces Central Michigan Series Schedule Changes

April 5, 2017

ATHENS, Ohio -- Due to the weather forecast calling for morning snow showers on Friday (April 7), the Ohio baseball team (15-12, 3-0 MAC) has altered its schedule for this weekend's series against Mid-American Conference West Division foe Central Michigan at Bob Wren Stadium, as announced by fifth-year head coach Rob Smith on Wednesday (April 5).

The Bobcats and the Chippewas will now play a Saturday (April 8) doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. ET. The series finale is still scheduled for a 1 p.m. ET start on Sunday (April 9).

'Voice of the Bobcats' Russ Eisenstein will have the call of all three games on WOUB 1340 AM and online on OhioBobcats.com via Stretch Internet.

Ohio has won four in a row after posting a 5-2 win over in-state rival Dayton on Tuesday (April 4). The Bobcats came firing out of the gate to begin 2017 MAC play last weekend at Ball Diamond in Muncie, Ind. Ohio swept MAC West Division foe Ball State, taking both games of a Saturday (April 1) doubleheader by scores of 6-4 and 7-4, then blasting the Cardinals, 10-0, in the Sunday (April 2) series finale. The Bobcats are off to their first 3-0 start to MAC play since the 1997 squad began the league slate 4-0.
