ATHENS, Ohio – Ohio sophomore quarterback Nathan Rourke was named a "Star of the Week" by the Manning award announced the organization Monday.
Rourke, one of eight Division I quarterbacks chosen for the award, went 19-31 for 197 yards and passed for two touchdowns in overtime to lift the Bobcats to a 27-20 win at Eastern Michigan last Saturday.
Fans can vote for who they think is the top quarterback of the week until Thursday at Noon, ET. The top vote getter will be announced as the Manning Quarterback of the Week
The Manning Award was created by the Allstate Sugar Bowl in 2004 to honor the college football accomplishments of Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning. It is the only quarterback award that includes the candidates' bowl performances in its balloting.
