The Ohio football wrapped up its preparations for the 2018 DXL Frisco Bowl with a busy Monday night and Tuesday morning. The Bobcats (8-4) are set to compete against San Diego State (7-5) on Wednesday (Dec. 19). Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas, and the contest will be nationally televised on ESPN.
2018 DXL Frisco Bowl Dinner
The Bobcats joined the Aztecs in attending the 2018 DXL Frisco Bowl Dinner on Monday (Dec. 17) night at Toyota Stadium's Hall of Fame Club. The two teams were greeted by Frisco city leaders and committee members. Fourteenth-year Ohio head coach Frank Solich and eighth-year San Diego State head coach Rocky Long addressed the crowd prior to dinner. Ohio and San Diego State then squared off in a competitive game of Family Feud, with the Bobcats coming out on top. The teams also had an opportunity to challenge Pro emMLS FIFA player Alan Avi in a friendly game of EA Sports FIFA on Playstation4.
The two teams had the opportunity to meet with the media at the 2018 DXL Frisco Bowl Press Conference at Toyota Stadium. Solich, redshirt senior running back A.J. Ouellette (Covington, Ohio) and senior linebacker Evan Croutch (Youngstown, Ohio) represented the Bobcats.
2018 DXL Friso Bowl Hospital Visit
Team ambassadors from both Ohio and San Diego State visited Children's Medical Center - Plano in Plano, Texas on Tuesday morning. The Bobcats and the Aztecs met with the children at the hospital and helped bring them joy for the holiday season.
