ATHENS, Ohio -- The Ohio football team will celebrate its Touchdowns for Teachers initiative as part of its Mid-American Conference East Division matchup against Kent State on Saturday (Oct. 19) at Peden Stadium. Kickoff is set for noon ET.

Tickets are available for just $10 for teachers, with the first 500 to purchase a ticket receiving a free t-shirt, $5 food voucher and a sponsor coupon.

One elementary or middle school teacher in attendance will be randomly selected to receive a $5,000 grant for their school. The grant, administered by the Mid-American Conference, is part of the  College Football Playoff (CFP) Foundation's Extra Yard For Teachers initiative. The funds are to be used by the school for materials, supplies and/or technological advances.

In addition, for every Ohio touchdown scored against Kent State, one teacher in attendance will receive a $50 adidas gift card.

Teachers interested in purchasing tickets to the game should contact Jacob Rockoff, Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Sales, at jrockoff@ohio.edu.
