Ohio Notes

Chris Garrett's 88-yard punt return for a touchdown in the first quarter was the first of his career and the longest in school history. It was the first punt return for a touchdown by a Bobcat since Stafford Owens' 81-yard punt return in 2004 against Akron.

Kalvin McRae's 120 rushing yards moved him into ninth place on Ohio's all-time rushing list with 2,074 career rushing yards.

Ohio's 257 yards rushing is a season-best and the most since recording 307 yards on the ground last season against Buffalo.

Kalvin McRae's three-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter was the 16th rushing touchdown of his career and the 19th total touchdown of his career.

Tyler Russ' interception in the first quarter was his second of the season and fifth of his career. The 27-yard return after the interception was the longest interception return by a Bobcat this season.

Mitch Morsillo's six-yard reception in the first quarter was the first of his career.

Ohio's 14 points in the first quarter was the most first quarter points by Ohio since Nov. 4, 2004 against Toledo.

Michael Mitchell's sack in the second quarter was the first of his career.

Kalvin McRae's two 33-yard runs in the third quarter were tied for his longest rush of the season. The first 33-yard run put him over 2,000 career rushing yards.

Chris Garrett's reception in the third quarter was the first catch of his career.

Matt Muncy's third quarter interception was the fifth of his career.

Corey Logan played at defensive end and tight end. He is the first Bobcat since Dion Byrum last season to play on both sides of the ball in the same game.

Kalvin McRae had his eighth career 100-yard game and is now tied for sixth in that category in Ohio history.

Ohio became the first team to run for more than 100 yards against Western Michigan and Kalvin McRae was the second individual 100-yard rusher against the Broncos.

Ohio was the first team to score more than seven points in the first quarter against Western Michigan with 14 points in the first.

Chido Nwokocha's 32-yard reception in the third quarter was his career long.

Matt Lasher's 38-yard field goal in the fourth quarter was a career-long.

Everson's 72-yard run in the fourth quarter was his career-long and the longest of the season for Ohio.

Western Michigan Notes

Sophomore cornerback Desman Stephen made his first career start

Cory Flom blocked his fourth kick of the season on Matt Lasher's 19-yard FG attempt. Flom's four blocked kicks this season is a new single-season Western Michigan record.

The Western Michigan defense held Ohio's offense to only 20 yards passing in the first half.

E.J. Biggers picked off an Austen Everson pass in the end zone with 1:17 left in the half. It was Biggers second interception of the year.

C.J. Wilson intercepted Austen Everson and returned the pick for a 66-yard touchdown. It was the third interception returned for a touchdown on the season for Western Michigan. The interception was the 11th interception for Western Michigan this season.

Justin Braska picked up his first career fumble recovery in the third quarter from an Austen Everson fumble.

Brandon West caught a career high six passes for 53 yards.

Branden Ledbetter had a season long 57 yard pass reception.
