ATHENS, Ohio - Ohio has had some notable victories in the last few seasons, including last Saturday's win at Northern Illinois. Watch highlights from Head Coach Frank Solich's weekly press conference as the Bobcat boss compares his latest victory to last season's win against Pittsburgh.
Coach Solich also discussed the improvments the offense made, the attention that the victory against the Huskies brought and the team's health headed into its game at Rutgers.
Ohio accumulated 509 yards of offense in its victory at Northern Illinois on Sept. 9. The Bobcats had 332 yards through the air and 177 yards on the ground. It was Ohio's first 500-yard game since racking up 518 against Kent State last season (373 rushing, 145 passing). The Bobcats' offensive outburst came on the heels of its season-opening win against UT Martin in which the offense accounted for 144 yards. That win snapped a string of 30 straight losses since 1988 when Ohio has gained less than 200 yards. Ohio is 12-0 when gaining at least 500 yards. Saturday's 509-yard effort was the ninth-best in school history.
