ATHENS, Ohio - The Bobcats will play their third straight road game on Saturday when they face the Missouri Tigers at Faurot Field. Ohio Head Coach Frank Solich broke down what the Bobcats will face at his weekly press conference.
Both head coaches in this game will be facing a team from a conference they used to coach and play in. Solich played collegiately at Nebraska and was the Cornhuskers' head coach from 1998-2003, earning the Big 12 title in 1999 and taking the Huskeirs to five bowl games. He was the Big 12 Coach of the Year Honors in 1999 and 2001. He went 5-1 in six meeting with Missouri.
Missouri Head Coach Gary Pinkel played at Kent State and guided the Toledo football program from 1991-2000. He led the Rockets to the 1995 MAC title and three MAC West Division championships. Pinkel was the MAC Coach of the Year in 1995 and 1997, and his 53 MAC wins ranks fourth in the history of the league. Pinkel is 5-0 all-time against Ohio.
