ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio Athletics Department announced today that ESPN360, a broadband service that aired the Ohio versus Illinois football game Oct. 14, will be available via all Ohio University computers for a two-week period from Oct. 18-31. Original plans for ESPN360 to be made available campus-wide for live viewing of the game failed due to technical difficulties Saturday.
"This is a nice gesture on behalf of ESPN, and one that will touch a much broader potential audience," said Derek Scott, Ohio Associate Athletics Director for Communications. "Now people all over campus have a 14-day window to try out ESPN360 and its many great features, including the archived broadcast of the Bobcats' great win."
To access ESPN360 from any computer on Ohio University's Ethernet system, simply type www.espn360.com into the internet browser. Quarter-by-quarter video of the Ohio vs. Illinois football game can be found by clicking on the College Football icon and then scrolling down through the menu of items available. Fans using older computers may experience difficulty viewing the video due to the requirements of the ESPN360 platform.
Ohio hosts it annual Homecoming contest on Saturday, Oct. 21 versus Buffalo at 2 p.m. For ticket information, call the Ohio Athletics Ticket Office at 1-800-575-CATS.
