ATHENS, Ohio - For the first time in their careers Ohio Head Coach Frank Solich and Buffalo Head Coach Turner Gill will be on opposite sidelines. Watch highlights from Solich's weekly press conference as he talks about coaching against his former player and assistant.
Gill, a quarterback at Nebraska, was a Heisman Trophy finalist when Solich was an assistant coach for the Cornhuskers. After his playing days, Gill joined the Nebraska coaching staff (1992-2004), and served as assistant head coach on Solich's staff in 2003.
In addition to the unique coaching match-up, Solich also talked about keeping his team focused on each game and what the team needs to continue to work on in order to get better. He also gave an injury update on freshman Chris Garrett and senior Tyler Russ who missed parts of last week's win at Illinois after suffering an injury.
The Bobcats and Bulls square off at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21. The game is homecoming for the Bobcats. For ticket informatin, call the Ohio Athletics Ticket Office at 1-800-575-CATS.
