Andrea Rinehart is entering her second season as a graduate assistant coach for the Ohio field hockey program in 2018 under first-year head coach Ali Johnstone.

Rinehart's coaching experience includes four years (2015-18) with USA Field Hockey Futures as well as coaching at the USA Field Hockey Regional Futures Tournament in 2017.

Rinehart competed at the collegiate level as a goalkeeper at Kent State from 2013-16, earning All-Mid-American Conference Second Team selection in both her junior and senior seasons. She appeared in 71 career matches for the Golden Flashes, making 62 starts and posting 324 saves and 12 shutouts. Rinehart posted a career-high 119 saves in her sophomore season in 2014. She helped guide Kent State to MAC tournament championship titles and NCAA tournament appearances in each of her final three seasons. Rinehart was named to the MAC All-Tournament Team in both 2014 and '15, earning Most Valuable Player honors in '15. The 2014 Kent State squad made school history when it knocked off Delaware, 2-1, in the NCAA Tournament Play-In Round, giving the Golden Flashes their first NCAA tournament victory. 

Rinehart was selected for USA Field Hockey's 2015 U-21 Junior National Team Camp and qualified for USA Field Hockey's Young Women's National Championship in both '15 and '16.

Rinehart is a native of Yorktown, Va. She was a three-year letterwinner at Grafton High School, earning First Team All-District, First Team All-Region and First Team All-State honors her senior season. She helped lead the Clippers to a first-place district championship in 2010 and a state runner-up finish in '11.
