HOW IT HAPPENED

● Ohio was outshot 13-4 in the first half, but redshirt senior goalkeeper Lina Trucco (Lake Bluff, Ill.) stepped up stopping all seven shots that were on goal.
● Cornell broke down the Ohio defense netting two goals in a span of three minutes to give the Big Red a 2-0 lead with about 15 minutes left in the match.
● The Bobcats would not go down without a fight as sophomore Kendall Ballard (Charlottesville, Va.) tallied a goal off a corner that was assisted by sophomore Emma Eggleston (Houston, Texas) and freshman Brittany Keen (Perth, Western Australia) with just under two minutes left in the match.
● Cornell would not allow Ohio another shot and held on to win 2-0.
● Trucco made eight saves on 10 shots on goal.
● The Bobcats lost the corner battle 7-4.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
