PINEHURST, N.C. -- The Ohio men's golf team wrapped up the opening day of the Pinehurst Intercollegiate on Friday (March 9) at Pinehurst No. 8, combining to total a first-round score of 326 (+26) to put the Bobcats in 13th place.

Ball State sits in first place after recording a combined team team of 297 (+13) in the first round. Dayton is right behind the Cardinals after teaming up to shoot a 298 (+14). Ball State senior Michael VanDeventer currently leads the field after firing a first-round 71 (E).

Redshirt senior Tom Nettles (McMurray, Pa.) is leading the way for Ohio after carding a first-round 80 (+9) to put him in a four-way tie for 54th place.

Junior Ben Sattler (Liberty Township, Ohio) totaled a first-round 81 (+10), which has him tied with six others for 58th.

Freshman Tanner Johnson (Venetia, Pa.) is tied for 64th after posting an 82 (+11) in the first round.

Senior Brady Bohl (Dublin, Ohio) is in a tie with three others for 66th place. He shot an 83 (+12) in the first round.

Freshman Zach Crawford (Vandalia, Ohio) rounded out day one for the Bobcats, shooting a first-round 84 (+13) to place him in a four-way tie for 69th.

The second round of the Pinehurst Intercollegiate will take place on Saturday (March 10).
