2019-20 Ohio Men's Golf Schedule

ATHENS, Ohio -- The 2019-20 Ohio men's golf schedule has been released, as announced by first-year head coach Neal Grusczynski today.

The Bobcats are set to compete in a total of 12 tournaments this season -- six in the fall and six in the spring.

Ohio opens the Grusczynski era with the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational (Sept. 9-10) at the Guyan Country Club in Huntington, W. Va., marking the 10th-straight year the Bobcats will open a season at the tournament.

The Bobcats then make a visit to Richmond, Ky., for the EKU Raising Canes Intercollegiate (Sept. 14-15), which will be held at the University Club-Arlington.

Ohio closes out the first month of the season at the Firestone Invitational (Sept. 30-Oct. 1) in Akron, Ohio, making it eight years in a row they have competed in the event. Ohio tied for third at the Firestone Invitational last season.

The Bobcats are then set to compete in three-straight tournaments in North Carolina, taking a trip to Raleigh, N.C., for the Wolfpack Intercollegiate (Oct. 5-6), then visiting Burlington for the Phoenix Intercollegiate (Oct. 14-15) at Alamance Country Club. The Bobcats took second in last year's Phoenix Intercollegiate. Ohio's 2019 fall schedule concludes with the Grandover Collegiate (Oct. 28-29) at Grandover Resort in Greensboro, N.C.

Ohio's spring slate begins with the Ohio State Invitational (March 9-10) at Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Fla. The Bobcats close out March at the Furman Intercollegiate (March 27-29) at Furman Golf Club in Greenville, S.C.

Ohio wraps up regular season action with three April tournaments, beginning with the Irish Creek Intercollegiate (April 4-5) at The Club at Irish Creek in Concord, N.C. The Bobcats will compete in the Wright State Invitational (April 19-20) for the second year in a row at Heatherwoode Golf Club in Springboro, Ohio. The final tournament of the regular season will be the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate (April 25-26) as the OSU Scarlet Course in Columbus.

The 2020 Mid-American Conference Championships (May 1-3) will be held at Sycamore Hills Golf Club in Fort Wayne, Ind. Ohio has won 18 MAC titles in its storied history (1951, '52, '53, '54 (tie), '55, '57, '58, '59, '60, '61, '63, '64, '65, '67, '69, '71, '79, '80).

The 2020 NCAA Championship Regions are slated to be held May 18-20 at various sites, and the 2020 NCAA Championships will take place May 29-June 1 in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Ohio returns seven student-athletes from the 2018-19 roster, including junior Zach Crawford (Vandalia, Ohio), who was an All-MAC Second Team selection a year ago.
