AKRON, Ohio -- The Ohio men's golf team finished in 14th place at the Firestone Invitational with a combined team total of 904 (+40) after carding a final-round 307 (+19) today at the Firestone Country Club North Course. The Bobcats shot rounds of 300 (+12) and 297 (+9) in the first two rounds of action on Monday (Sept. 30).

South Carolina Aiken claimed first place with a combined team total of 857 (-7). The Pacers tallied round scores of 285 (-3), 281 (-7) and 291 (+3). Akron junior Fabian Sunden earned medalist honors with 208 (-8) to win the tournament by one stroke. He shot rounds of 72 (E), 66 (-6) and 70 (-2).

Junior Austin Dyson (Dublin, Ohio) was the high finisher for the Bobcats, tying for 34th place with a 222 (+6). He carded rounds of 74 (+2), 70 (-2) and 78 (+6).

Junior Zach Mandry (Solon, Ohio) tied for 49th with a 225 (+9). He posted rounds scores of 74 (+2), 75 (+3) and 76 (+4).

Junior Zach Crawford (Vandalia, Ohio) moved up seven spots on the leaderboard and tied for 67th with a 231 (+15). After shooting rounds of 78 (+6) and 79 (+7) on Monday, he carded a final-round 74 (+2). Redshirt junior Adam Stephens (Dublin, Ohio) also finished with a 231 (+15) and tied for 67th. After logging two rounds of 76 (+4) on Monday, he shot a 79 (+7) in the final round.

Freshman Felipe Darquea (Quito, Ecuador) finished in a tie for 72nd with a 235 (+19) after posting two rounds of 76 (+4) on Monday followed by a final-round 83 (+11).

Ohio will have a quick turnaround following the Firestone Invitational, heading to Raleigh, N.C., for the Wolfpack Intercollegiate this weekend (Oct. 5-6).
