Bobcat Men’s Cross Country Places Third at All-Ohio

CEDARVILLE, Ohio – The men's cross country team finished in third place at this year's All-Ohio Championships on Friday (Sept. 29).

All five Bobcat scorers finished the 8K in the top 20 of the Division competitors to help Ohio finish with a team score of 61 points.

Senior Brad Miller (Bellbrook, Ohio) led the way for the Bobcats finishing the race fifth overall with a 25:02.0 mark. Junior Kyle Bussard (Germantown, Ohio) followed shortly after, crossing the line in 25:25.3 to take 10th place.

The next three Bobcat scorers were sophomore Griffin Butler (Newark, Ohio) in 12th and junior Zach Zimmerman (Pickerington, Ohio) in 14th and senior Matt Evans (Mentor, Ohio) in 20th.  Butler finished in 25:30.5, Zimmerman in 25:33.6, and Evans in 25:45.2.

Ohio finished behind Mid-American Conference foe Akron (52 points) and ahead of Kent State (101 points) who took second and fourth consecutively.

The Bobcats will next see a course at Pre-Nationals scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 14 in Louisville, Ky.
