  • Ohio Softball Announces 2020 Schedule

    The Ohio Softball team has released its 2020 schedule, second-year head coach Kenzie Roark announced today (Nov. 18). The Bobcats will face off against eight teams that saw action in the 2019 NCAA Tournament including; Washington, Southern Illinois, Lipscomb, South Florida, Monmouth, Southeast Missouri, USC Upstate, and Toledo.
  • Ohio Softball Adds Six to the Roster During the Early Signing Period

    The Bobcats softball program added six new student-athletes during the early signing period, second-year head coach Mackenzie Roark announced today (Nov. 14)  Sydney Grein, Cailyn Kohus, Yasmine Logan, Victoria O’Brien, Annalia Paoli, and Emily Walker will be playing for Ohio during the 2020-21 season. 
  • Ohio Softball Announces January Jingle Camps

    The Ohio Softball program will be hosting their annual January Jingle camps on Saturday, Jan. 11 and Sunday, Jan. 19, 2020. This camp is for softball players between 7th through the 12th grade and will take place at Walter Fieldhouse located on Ohio University's campus.   • Ohio Softball to Host Summer Camp in July

    The Ohio Softball program will be hosting their annual summer camp on Tuesday, July 16th, 2019. This camp is for softball players between 7th through the 12th grade and will take place at Walter Fieldhouse/Ohio Softball Field located on Ohio University's campus. 
  • Six Members of Ohio Softball Named Academic All-MAC

    Six members of the Ohio softball team were named Academic All-Mid-American Conference, the league announced today (June 11). Deanna Cole, Alex Day, Morgan Geno, Alexa Holland, Madi McCrady and Katie Yun all earned the honor. 
  • Geno, Yun and Day Earn NFCA All-Mideast Region Honors

    Three members of the Ohio softball team were named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Mideast Region teams, the NFCA announced today (May 16). Senior Morgan Geno and sophomore Katie Yun were named All-Mideast Region First Team, while senior Alex Day was named to the All-Mideast Region Second Team. All three Bobcats will now be submitted into the pool for All-American consideration. 
  • Yun Named To the 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Team

    Ohio softball sophomore Katie Yun was named to the 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Team, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), the organization announced. 
  • Ohio Softball's Season Falls Short of Back-to-Back MAC Titles

    Despite a 5-0 lead in game one, the No. 3 Ohio softball team (34-21) was unable to overcome three errors late in the first game and five errors in game two, falling to No. 7 Toledo (29-26), 6-5 in game one and 9-2 in game two in the 2019 Mid-American Conference Tournament Saturday afternoon (May 11), inside Firestone Stadium.  After the game, Freshman Charlee Pond and senior Alex Day were named to the 2019 MAC All-Tournament Team. 
  • Pond’s Grand Slam Leads No. 3 Ohio Softball Past No. 1 Miami to Advance to MAC Championship Game

    Highlighted by a seventh-inning grand slam by freshman Charlee Pond, the No. 3 Ohio softball team (34-19) came from behind to defeat the top-seeded Miami (35-14), 7-3, Friday evening at the Mid-American Conference Tournament Semifinals inside Firestone Stadium. The victory advanced the Bobcats to the MAC Championship series to the fourth-straight year. Ohio will play for their second-straight MAC title on Saturday, May 11 at 1 p.m. 
  • Early Scoring Leads No. 3 Ohio Softball Past No. 7 Toledo, 7-1

    The No. 3 Ohio softball team (33-19) returned to action on Thursday afternoon (May 9), defeating No. 7 Toledo (24-26), 7-1, in the second round of the 2019 Mid-American Conference Tournament inside Firestone Stadium. The Bobcats will advance to the winner's bracket final tomorrow (May 10) at 3:30 p.m. when they take on No. 1 Miami. 
  • Pond’s Walk-Off Leads No. 3 Ohio Softball Past No. 6 Ball State in MAC Opener

    A clutch two-out RBI single by freshman Charlee Pond in the bottom of the eighth inning, helped the No. 3 Ohio softball team (32-19) top the No. 6 Ball State Cardinals (34-19), 3-2,in extra innings  in the opening round of the 2019 Mid-American Conference Tournament Wednesday evening inside Firestone Stadium in Akron, Ohio.

    The Ohio softball team (31-19) begins play at the 2019 Mid-American Conference Tournament on Wednesday, May 8, when the No. 3 Bobcats take on No. 6 Ball State (34-18). First pitch is set for 6 p.m. at Firestone Stadium in Akron, Ohio. 
  • Four Ohio Softball Members Earn MAC Postseason Accolades

    Four members of the Ohio softball team earned Mid-American Conference post season awards, the league announced today (May 7). All awards were voted on by the league’s 11 head coaches and are based off of conference statistics only. Senior Alex Day and sophomore Katie Yun were named First Team All-MAC, senior Morgan Geno was named Second Team All-MAC, while redshirt senior Michaela Dorsey was named the 2019 recipient of the Nan Harvey Award. 
  • Ohio Softball Enters 2019 MAC Tournament as No. 3 Seed

    With the official end of the regular season, the Ohio softball team (31-19, 12-8 MAC) has secured the number three seed in the 2019 Mid-American Conference Tournament, that will take place May 8-11 at Firestone Stadium in Akron, Ohio. The Bobcats will begin their defense of the tournament title on Wednesday, May 8 when they take on No. 6 Ball State (34-18, 9-8 MAC). First pitch is set for 6 p.m. 
  • Meeks, McCrady Lead Ohio Softball To Sweep of Buffalo

    In the final games of the regular season, pitchers Madi McCrady and Kendall Meeks combined to allow one run over 14 innings, helping Ohio softball (31-19, 12-8 MAC) complete the season sweep of Buffalo (10-32-1, 6-10-1) Saturday afternoon (May 4). The Bobcats took game one by the final of 3-1 and the second game, 4-0. This is the fourth-straight season that the Bobcats have won atleast 30 games. Also, with her 74th hit of the season, sophomore Katie Yun became the all-time single season hits leader. 
  • Ohio Softball Shuts Out Buffalo, 2-0

    The Ohio softball team (29-19, 10-8 MAC) returned to action on Friday afternoon (May 3), shutting out Buffalo (10-30-1, 6-8-1 MAC), 2-0, in the first game of the three-game series.  
  • Ohio Softball Wraps up Regular Season at Buffalo This Weekend

    The Ohio softball team (28-19, 9-8 MAC) warps up the regular season this weekend, when they head to Buffalo, N.Y. to take on Buffalo (10-29-1, 6-7-1 MAC) May 3-4. The Bobcats and the Bulls will square off on Friday, May 3 at 3 p.m., and will conclude the three-game series on Saturday, May 4 with a doubleheader set to begin at 1 p.m.  All of the Bobcats’ games against Buffalo will take place at Dobson Field on the campus of D’Youville College. 
  • Ohio Softball's Home Finale Against Miami Cancelled

    Due to field conditions from rainy weather yesterday evening, the Ohio softball team cancelled its 2019 home finale against Mid-American Conference rival Miami that was set for noon ET today at the Ohio Softball Field. The contest will not be made up.

    The Ohio softball team (28-19, 9-8 MAC) dropped both games of a doubleheader to rival Miami (28-14, 13-4 MAC) today at the Ohio Softball Field, falling by scores of 9-0 and 6-1.
  • Ohio Softball Announces Weekend Schedule Changes

    Due to forecasted rain on Friday, the Ohio softball team has been forced to change the schedule for this weekend's series against Miami. The Bobcats and RedHawks will no longer play on Friday at 3 p.m. as previously scheduled. Ohio and Miami will now play the origionally scheduled doubleheader on Saturday starting at 1 p.m. and will conclude the series with one game on Sunday, set to start at 12 p.m. at the Ohio Softball Feild. The Bobcats' Senior Day will now take place priot to Sunday's contest. 
  • Ohio Softball Hosts Miami for Senior Weekend

    The Ohio softball team (28-17, 9-6 MAC) returns to the Ohio Softball Field for one final time this season when they take on Mid-American Conference foe Miami (26-14, 9-4 MAC) for a three-game series April 26-27. The Bobcats will take on the RedHawks at 3 p.m. on Friday, before concluding the series with a doubleheader on Saturday, set to start at 1 p.m.  
  • Ohio Softball’s Rally Falls Short at Ohio State

    Despite a three-run homerun in the top of the sixth by Alex Day and a rally in the top of the seventh, the Ohio softball team (28-17) would fall to Big 10 opponent Ohio State (26-14), 4-3, Tuesday (April 16) evening at Buckeye Field. 
  • Ohio Softball Set to Take on Ohio State on Tuesday

    The Ohio softball team (28-16, 9-6 MAC) returns to the diamond for a mid-week game when they head to Columbus, Ohio to face off against Ohio State (25-14, 9-5 Big 10). The Bobcats and Buckeyes will play on Tuesday, April 16 at 6 p.m. 
  •  Big Bats Lead Ohio Softball to Sweep of Akron
    April 13, 2019
    The Ohio softball team’s (28-16, 9-6 MAC) bats came alive on Saturday (April 13), sweeping Akron (8-25-2, 2-12 MAC) in a doubleheader. The Bobcats won the first game 9-1 in five innings, and then wrapped up the day with a 13-5, five inning victory. The Saturday sweep gave the Bobcats the three-game sweep of the Zips. 
  • Ohio Softball Opens Series with Akron with a 9-4 Victory

    The Ohio softball team (26-16, 7-6 MAC) returned to action on Friday (April 12) to take on Mid-American Conference foe Akron (8-23-2, 2-10 MAC), defeating the Zips, 9-4, and snapping their four-game losing streak. 
  • Ohio Softball Looks to Snap Skid at Akron

    The Ohio softball team (25-16, 6-6 MAC) returns to the diamond this weekend when they head to Akron, Ohio for a three-game series with Akron (8-22-2, 2-9 MAC). The Bobcats and Zips get underway on Friday, April 12 at 3 p.m. The series will conclude on Saturday, April 13 with a doubleheader set to begin at 1 p.m. 
  • Ohio Softball Drops Battle to Kent State

    After a scoreless game through five innings, Kent State’s (17-18, 7-2) sole unearned run in the top of the sixth was the deciding factor, the Flashes them to defeat the Ohio softball team (25-16, 6-6 MAC), 1-0. 
  • Ohio Softball Set to Wrap Up Series With Kent State at Home on Wednesday

    The Ohio softball team (25-15, 6-5 MAC) returns to action this week, continuing Mid-American Conference play when the Bobcats return to the Ohio Softball Field on April 10 to take on Kent State (16-18, 6-2 MAC). The game is set to start at 2 p.m. 
  • Ohio Softball Swept in Doubleheader at CMU
    April 06, 2019
    The Ohio softball team (25-15, 6-5 MAC) returned to action on Saturday, dropping a doubleheader to Mid-American Conference foe Central Michigan (16-18-1, 7-3-1 MAC). Ohio dropped the first game by the final of 6-3, before falling in game two, 7-4. By dropping the two games today, the Bobcats were swept by CMU in the three-game series.
